- DWR will install new seismic stations near the CAAQ at Check 14 and Check 23. The stations will have a new sensor pad at the Check site. The new sensor will consist of a 7” diameter access cover encased in 6” of concrete with up to 10’ of buried 2” PVC conduit running from the pad to the existing Control Room. The sensor pad will include a 3” PVC cased boring to be grouted in-place to a depth of 20’. Transportation will be heavy duty flatbed pickups and trailers. Equipment will be staged along existing roadways. Stations will be within DWR right-of-way.
