The project proposes to drive six (6) 4” piles to support the existing 5’x 35’ pier; construct a 3’x 30’ gangway; and drive three (3) 8” piles to support a 20’x 30’ floating dock for a total of 505 square feet, of which 330 sq. ft. is new construction. The project includes driving a total of nine (9) piles.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 – Existing Facilities. The project is repair and replacement of a private accessory structure. The existing pier will be supported by 6 new 4” pilings. No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
