Document Description
Two transmission pipelines serving the Berryman and Summit Pressure Zones cross through the Hayward Fault Zone. Installation of HDPE pipeline, in the same alignment, is needed to mitigate future pipeline breaks and leaks. In addition, fiber optic lines will be installed to measure displacement from the Hayward Fault Zone.

The Project is located in the City of Oakland within Alameda County. The total length of new pipeline to be installed is 1400 ft. The Berryman Pressure Zone (PZ) segment will be along Claremont Avenue, beginning at the intersection of Claremont Avenue and Tanglewood Road and ending approximately 600 feet west of Stonewall Road. The Summit PZ segment has the same alignment except it begins at the intersection of Claremont Avenue and Stonewall Road.
