Document Description
The Project includes construction of the following primary features:
• A new well, Well 4, including a new well pump, a water storage tank, emergency use-only generator, and interconnecting pipelines.
• Conversion of existing Well 3 to “stand-by” status.
• Proper abandonment of existing inactive North and South Wells.
Replacement of 136 existing water meters with new.
The Project proposes to drill and construct a new production well, “Well 4”, at the North Well site (APN 316-220-009), which is just off Road 132, approximately 650 feet north of the intersection of Avenue 80 and Road 132. In addition, at the Well 4 site, the following Project improvements will be included: potable water storage tank, booster pump station, hydropneumatic tank, chlorination injection ports for ongoing chlorination, electrical service upgrade, motor control center, shade structure, portable emergency use-only diesel-powered generator, and 136 1-inch water meters. Also discharge pipe improvements will be made to the existing Well 3 (APN 316-22-004) to bring it into compliance with State requirements. The inactive North and South wells will be abandoned per State and County requirements.
The Project site has been evaluated in accordance with Government Code Section 65962.5 and is not listed as hazardous waste or materials site.
