Document Description
The Board of Trustees of the Siskiyou Joint Community College District (Board) adopted an MND for the project on February 23, 2021 (State Clearinghouse No. 2021010086). The MND addressed proposed renovations and new construction on the Weed Campus property that are anticipated to be completed as funding becomes available. Proposed improvements included demolishing McCloud Hall and the classroom wing of the Theater Building, and extending the Theater Building to the east and completing structural improvements on the west side of the building. Following adoption of the MND, District staff re-evaluated the project and determined that these improvements are no longer needed, and structural improvements and upgrades to both McCloud Hall and the Theater Building are the most cost- and time-effective solution.
