The Winters Joint Un necessary) a Removable Action Work Plan (RAW) for contaminated soil removal, prepared by Padre Associates, lnc., on behalf of the District, for the Winters High School Modernization Project. The RAW includes a detailed engineering plan for conducting the selected response action (RA) for each chemical of concern (COC) and the goals to be achieved by the RA, as required by California Health and Safety Code Section 25323.1.The selected response action for identified COCs (dieldrin and lead) in soil is the excavation and off-site disposal of impacted soil. Approximately 190 cubic yards (cy) of soil would require excavation and off-site disposal. The generation of dust during the soil removal operations would be minimized as necessary with the use of water as a dust suppressant.
