Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-RIV-16203-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, AM Wind Repower, LLC The Project is a repower of the existing Alta Mesa Wind energy facility. The repower project has a total disturbance area of about 93.7 acres including access roads, pad sites for wind turbine generators (WTGs), and operations and maintenance (O&M) facilities. The repower project will replace the existing turbines with 7 new WTGs on a total of 93.7 acres. The repower will produce up to a total of 27 megawatts (MW) of power. This will result in permanent impacts to a total of 0.64 acres of state jurisdictional resources.

The Alta Mesa Wind Project is located on 93.7 acres of private lands in Riverside County, 11 miles northwest of the City of Palm Springs. From I-10, take exit 110 for Haugen-Lehman Way north, then continue on Haugen-Lehman Way, right onto Cottonwood Drive, then right onto Rockview Drive. It is west of the Whitewater River and east of Cottonwood Creek, shown on the White Water USGS 7.5-minute topographic quad (USGS, 1955). Access to Alta Mesa Wind is through the existing Mesa Wind Project Repower.
