Document Description
Under permits issued by the State Water Resources Control Board, DWR is authorized to appropriate unappropriated water from Little Last Chance Creek for storage in Frenchman Reservoir in an amount not to exceed 34,962 acre-feet (AF) per year, or up to 50,000 AF per year under special circumstances. Since 1962, DWR has been supplying water from the storage in Frenchman Reservoir to holders of prior water rights from Little Last Chance Creek pursuant to several successive contracts with the District, the latest of which contracts was for delivery of water during the years 2011 through 2020. The proposed project would provide for delivery of water to holders of prior water rights to be distributed by the District during the years 2021 through 2030.
