Document Description
Caltrans is proposing a pavement maintenance project in Mono County. The project proposes to add a 0.1” thin blanket of HMA (hot mix asphalt) and up to 3’ of shoulder backing throughout the project area. About 200’ of HMA dike will be removed where tree roots have heaved the dike and shoulder. The shoulder will be reconstructed in this area to provide more area for the trees. Conform pavement grinding will occur at driveways, road connections, and at the beginning and ending of construction. Shoulder backing wider than 3’ will be provided in several areas commonly used for vehicle parking.
