- Site Development Permit for impacts to environmentally sensitive land for the replacement of sewer pipe and storm drains through Switzer Canyon Open Space and the Balboa Park Golf Course. The project includes installation and replacement of approximately 9,007 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch sewer main, sewer laterals, sewer lateral replumbing, and installation and replacement of 38 manholes. The project also includes replacement of three existing storm drain facilities which collect runoff and discharge into Switzer Canyon, and construction of an energy dissipator at the end of each facility at the canyon floor. The project will construct 361 LF of 18-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) storm drain, inlets, cleanouts, concrete anchor, curbs, gutter, sidewalk replacement, and cross gutter replacement. The project is within developed right of way and land designated as Single-Family Residential (RS-1-1) and Open Space. The project is located within the Burlingame Historic District and within the Multi-Habitat Planning Area (MHPA) in the North Park, Greater Golden Hill, and Balboa Park Community Plan Areas, in Council District 3. The site is not included on any Government Code listing of hazardous waste sites.
