- Document Description
- The applicant is proposed project consist of a 42,000 square feet of cannabis canopy area and an 80 square feet storage shed. The project will be an expansion to a legacy cannabis cultivation operation previously approved under an old zoning ordinance which allowed .28-acres (12,304 square feet) of canopy area. The proposed project site is primarily in 013-017-27 and is previously disturbed by existing improvements of a single residential dwelling, well, water tanks, fencing and the cannabis cultivation operation. The existing facility includes above ground smart pots and existing holes and the expansion will include above ground smart pots to minimize ground disturbances. The project site is fairly flat and best management practices are put in place for the proposed cultivation site.

- Reasons for Exemption
- Class 4-Minor Alterations to Land. The project consist of a private alterations in the condition of land which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for agricultural purpose. The grading on land with a slope of less than 10 percent, except that grading shall not be exempt in a waterway, in any wetland, in an officially designated (by federal, state, or local government action) scenic area, or in officially mapped areas of severe geologic hazard such as earthquake fault zone. In addition, the project proposal includes an 80-square feet storage shed for fertilizers and pesticides which is permitted use by right under ministerial projects (Section 21080).
