Class 1 allows for the rehabilitation of deteriorated or damaged facilities to meet current standards of public health and safety, that involve negligible or no expansion of use. Additionally, Class 31 allows for the repair and rehabilitation of historical resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. A review of the project drawings and specifications, conducted by a qualified Preservation Architect, determined that all work is in conformance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation, and therefore the project would not impact the historic integrity of the district.
