Document Description
The purpose of the project is to make repairs and improvements to the existing Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline trail network to satisfy Park District standards as directed. Improvements to natural surface trail tread and drainage features will include, but not be limited to: repairing and improving trail tread and drainage; vegetation clearance; and repair and replacement of structures such as steps/stairs, boardwalks, planking, puncheon, trail closure restoration, signage installation. The project includes trails within the 163-acre Ridgeland Planning Area at Miller/Knox located on the east side of Dornan Drive. It features approximately four miles of hiking trails in open-space grassland intermixed with patches of scrubland and woodland.
