Document Description
The proposed Whole Site Modernization (WSM) elements at Whitman Elementary School (ES) would include circulation/drop-off improvements, including the construction of a new parking lot; modernization of existing facilities (new flooring, doors and hardware, windows, lighting, painting, and whiteboards/tack boards); additions to the existing administration building to create a new single point of access; and upgrades to the school kitchen. The campus modernization would also include an ADA path of travel and sidewalk upgrades. The Proposed Project would also include the construction of a new 2.64 acre Joint Use Field (JUF), walking track, and related amenities. The Proposed Project would not increase the number of classrooms, capacity, or enrollment. Construction of the Proposed Project is anticipated to commence in January of 2023 and would be completed by February of 2025. Construction of the Proposed Project would occur in two continuous phases, and construction of the JUF would occur once the WSM improvements have been completed.
