- The project proposes to replace 2,000-feet of water line with a 6-inch diameter C-900 water line, which will meet fire capacity standards. The trenching for the replacement water line will be 4 feet deep and approximately 18-24 inches wide. There will be no disturbance beyond the existing County Right of Way for the replacement of the water line. The water line replacement will serve 22 residents along Quail Trail in the community of Spring Valley.

Emergency repairs include those that require a reasonable amount of planning to address an anticipated emergency. Lake County has been besieged by wild fires in the last 5 years. Lake County Special Districts is acquiring grant funding to replace the existing water line to be better able to provide essential services and increase capacity of the water system to meet the State fire capacity standards.
