Document Description
Project implements ecosystem, water quality and recreational improvements at the Bees Lakes. Restoration includes removal and control of invasive species to increase abundance of native under story species. Water quality components include disposing of potentially contaminated soil from the two ponds, potentially treating the pond water, and removing of trash. A aeration diffusion device to increase aeration and water circulation, decrease algae, and increase habitat suitability for aquatic species will be installed as well as one or more artificial floating wetland islands. Recreational components of the project will improve access, management, and recreation at the site.
