The project is an eight-month program of coastal activities for at-risk and low-income teens residing in the City of Santa Maria who have limited access to the coast. The program will include activities focused primarily on enjoying the coast such as kayaking and beach recreation days, as well as activities with more of an educational component such as docent hikes at coastal bluffs and tide pools.
