Document Description
Alameda County Water District (ACWD) has prepared a Draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) for the Driscoll Road Main Renewal Project (Project). The Project extends primarily along Driscoll Road between its intersections with Mission Boulevard and Timber Creek Terrace and on a lateral connection to the northwest along Paseo Padre Parkway in the City of Fremont, California. ACWD proposes to replace approximately 7,400 feet of existing 12-inch asbestos cement pipeline with a new 12- to 16-inch steel pipeline, and associated fittings, valves, fire hydrant laterals, existing connections with other pipelines and branch connections, and water service laterals along Driscoll Road and Paseo Padre Parkway. Implementation of the project would reduce the number of leaks and breaks in the future that could take place and result in unplanned water service outages.
