Reasons for Exemption
The project involves replacement of traffic control equipment and minor alterations to existing public facilities. The project involves no increase in capacity. no expansion of the existing use. and serves built-out land uses. The project area has been previously disturbed. is highly urbanized. and includes existing surface facilities. There are no unusual circumstances leading to a reasonable possibility that significant environmental impacts will result from the project. Therefore. the City finds that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in accordance with CEQA Section 15301 (c).
