Caltrans proposes the State Route (SR) 12 Storm Damage Repair and Permanent Restoration Project (the Project) to restore eroded side slopes above the SR 12 roadway, along post mile (PM) 2.1 and 2.6 in Napa County, California. Main construction activities will include the removal and replacement of drainage systems, and the excavation and placement of rock slope protection (RSP).

The Project work will be completed on existing facilities, in this case existing side slopes and drainage systems. Therefore there will be no expansion of use as a result of the Project. These facilities will be repaired in response to damage caused by heavy rain storms, in order to restore structural integrity and ultimately highway safety.
