Project consists of the repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond current levels; replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; consist of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; the minor public or private alterations in the condition of land which do not involve the removal of healthy, mature scenic trees; and basic data collection, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource; included as “Modifications of existing facilities for disabled access”, “fencing, signs” in the Department of Parks and Recreation’s list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR §15300.4.
