Document Description
This grant funds three of LandPaths outdoor activities that invite people of the community to explore and steward the Sonoma County coast: Inpired Forward, TrekSonoma and Vamos Afuera. Through Inspired Forward, approximately 100 teens visit the coast as part of their high school biology class, or through various student groups. They partake in a combination of coastal explorations including tide pooling, coastal hikes and paddles, and hands on science. TrekSonoma takes six families on a three-day, two-night trek beginning and ending at Shell Beach. Vamos Afuera involves family paddles for groups of 16 on the Russian River, and groups of up to 50 take a two-day, one-night coastal camping trip.
