Excavate inside the buried basin to expose the entrance to the discharge CMP. An excavator will lower and place sandbag inside the CMP opening and in the return basin A metal plate will be welded to the concrete at the CMP opening. The excavated area will be backfilled and compacted using vibratory compaction.

Reasons for Exemption
Class 4, minor alterations to land, exempts minor public and private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation, which do not involve removal of mature, scenic trees except for forestry and agricultural purposes, and which do not result in significant impacts to an environmental resource. The purpose of the project is to repair work for sinkholes near concrete conduit and exposed corrugated metal pipes (CMP) opening, which will be done with minor excavation and backfilling where the surface is restored. DWR has evaluated cultural and biological resources and has determined the project will not result in significant impacts.
