This project is eligible for a Categorical Exemption under Section 15303 (Class 3) and Section 15305 (Class 5) of CEQA, in that the project consists of alterations and additions to an existing single-family home and a 6- foot deck. The proposal involves a variance to reduce the setback by 8 feet and will have no effects of changing the land use. Based on the exemption, comments received, and the whole record, there is no substantial evidence that the project will have a significant adverse impact on the environment.
