Document Description
To facilitate the arrival of a new helicopter, additional space will be leased for capital improvements and additional personnel. Capital improvements will include a helipad, parking area, two double-wide barracks trailers and a single-wide office trailer. The modular office trailer is a temporary single-story structure measuring 60 feet long by 12 feet wide. The two-modular double-wide barracks trailers measure 60 feet long by 24 feet wide. As these are modular units, no foundation will be constructed and the temporary structures will be supported by concrete footings and piers that sit atop the existing paved surface. Minor trenching will be completed at lineal distance of approximately 70 feet to and at a depth of 30 inches to connect a sewage pipe to the barracks. Trenches will be backfilled and compacted once the pipe is installed. The proposed helipad will be a 13,000 square feet concrete surface installed adjacent to an existing runway, taxiway and airport apron. The Proposed parking area will total approximately 0.5 acres and will be an extension of the paved area within the project. It is on disturbed soils that have been compacted and graveled. The area is currently used as a parking and storage area.
