Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and
Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS-SBR-15496-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish
and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of San Bernardino – Municipal Water Department.
The project will construct a surface and subsurface stabilization system that consists of placing a series
of rock-filled gabion baskets along a 2:1 slope in a horseshoe shape around Vincent well and a well
building. The gabions will extend to 20 feet below existing grade with the top of the baskets located
approximately 10 feet from the well building. Gabion baskets will be placed at the innermost 12 feet of
the base and connected to the gabions along the slope. The entire system will be underlain by geotextile
fabric. Excavated material will be used to construct a berm upstream of the site to divert flows in Cajon
Wash around the construction zone
