Document Description
The proposed Project involves construction of a new, second platform (south of the existing platform) and pedestrian under-crossing at the existing Simi Valley Station, construction of a second, 2.2-mile section of mainline track on SCRRA's Ventura Subdivision (mileposts 436.20 to 438.40), and two new control points (CP) Sequoia and CP Arroyo. Supplemental safety measures for quiet zones are proposed at Sequoia Ave., Tapo Canyon St., Tapo St., E. Los Angeles Ave., and Hidden Ranch Dr.
The NOD notes the following:
1. The project will have a significant effect on the environment.
2. An Environmental Impact Report was prepared for this project pursuant to the provisions of CEQA.
3. Mitigation measures were made a condition of the approval of the project.
4. A mitigation reporting or monitoring plan was adopted for this project.
5. A statement of Overriding Considerations was adopted for this project.
