Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0204-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Gurinder Grewal. The Project includes activities to remediate violations that had occurred in the past at the site, including placement of an arch culvert, grading of creek bed and banks, placement of fill within riparian habitat, and removal of riparian trees without a valid Streambed Alteration Agreement. The unpermitted arch culvert that was placed in South Fork Tularcitos Creek will be removed and replaced. The new structure will be a box culvert that is approximately 16 feet long and 12 feet wide. Culvert footings will be poured concrete. The culvert walls will be located just beyond top of bank and the box culvert will not have a concrete bottom, resulting in natural soil creek bed and banks. The culvert is designed to pass 100-year event flows. The bed and banks will be graded and reshaped to match up and downstream topography. Unpermitted fill that was placed in riparian wetland habitat will be removed and restored to pre-violation contours. There will be riparian vegetation restoration within all areas where unpermitted removal of vegetation had occurred.
