Document Description
EDP Renewables CA Solar Park VI, LLC applied to the Fresno County Department of Public Works and Planning for Unclassified Conditional Use Permit No. 3677 to construct, operate, maintain, and decommission an approximately 200-megawatt alternating current (MWac) solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generation facility, 184 MWac energy storage system, and related facilities and infrastructure, known as the Sonrisa Solar Project. The Project would extend (by approximately 0.2 mile) and share use of an existing 3.3-mile long 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line to PG&E’s existing Tranquillity Switching Station. In addition to the shared use of the transmission line and switching station, which is considered as part of the Scarlet Solar EIR (State Clearinghouse No. 2018091022, Fresno County EIR No. 7230), the Project would share other facilities with Scarlet Solar, including an electrical substation and operation and maintenance building. The Project is expected to be decommissioned after a 35-year permit term.
