Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-LAN-45944-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), also known as Metrolink. The project will add approximately 6,300 feet of new track between Balboa Boulevard and Sierra Highway within the City of Los Angeles. The improvement would require realignment of the existing track and Weldon Canyon Creek through portions of the site to accommodate the second track. This project will require excavation, temporary water diversion, and a new channel with rock slope protection. This project shall result in approximately 0.54 acres of permanent stream impacts and 0.48 acres of temporary stream impacts. Permanent impacts will be mitigated through a mitigation bank. Temporary impacts will be mitigated through on-site restoration.
