- Document Description
- The project includes removal of the existing two drinking water reservoirs (bolted steel tanks) and installing two new reservoirs within the existing graded pad at the current site. The existing tanks both have a diameter of 38 feet, with a height of 24 feet. The proposed replacement tanks will be adjusted in size to meet current seismic design criteria as well as increase the available fire storage. One replacement tanks will remain 38 feet diameter and increase 8 feet in height.to meet current code. The second tank will increase 17 feet in diameter and 8 feet in height to meet current code and increase fire storage. The purpose of this project is to replace tanks that are at the end of their useful life. This site provides drinking water and fire protection to a residential community at the base of the foothills adjacent to the recent El Dorado wild fire.

Notice of Exemption
- Exempt Status
- Categorical Exemption
- Type, Section or Code
- 15302 (c.) Replacement or Reconstruction and 15061 (b.) 3 Review for Exemption
- Reasons for Exemption
- The reservoir replacement is exempt from CEQA because the project is a replacement of an existing facility. The replacement facility will only have a negligible increase in size relative to the existing footprint. The slight increase in volume will serve the existing population in the form of fire protection and does not change the use or application of the facility. The construction will take place on the previously graded pad.
