Caltrans plans to issue a highway encroachment permit to Spectrum for installation of approximately 223 ft of underground conduit in the highway right-of-way for a new fiber optic broadband installation. Work will be completed by a combination of directional boring and trenching under and adjacent to SR 202.

The bore pit and minor trenching will be backfilled and surface elevations will be restored. No trees or scenic resources will be impacted by the permitted work. Highway traffic will not be limited or diverted. There are no other known environmental resources in the permit work area.
