Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) is a Responsible Agency for the Project. The State Water Board’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) Program is financing the Project referred to internally as Arcata Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades Project. The Project includes improvements to Arcata's existing Wastewater Treatment Facility, including replacement of aging infrastructure, improving the quality of treated effluent discharged into Humboldt Bay, and meeting National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements. The proposed project addresses public health needs which include improving the hydraulic and treatment capacity of the facility.
