Reasons for Exemption
Class 1 – Existing Facilities. The project proposes to remove an existing pier and construct a new pier and suspended platform. The total combined area of the new 5’x 50’ pier and 10’x 20’ suspended platform is 450 square feet. The existing 3’x 28’ gangway will be re-used. No littoral vegetation will be removed. All work in the lake will occur between October 15 and December 31. The project will not result in significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands or riparian habitats. The Lake County Community Development Department has determined that the project will not have a significant effect on the environment and is, therefore, exempt from the provisions of CEQA.
