Document Description
The amendment includes increasing the footprint of the in-water bridge piers an additional 0.059 acres. The design of the in-water bridge piers changed since the execution of the Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement by altering the shape of the piers to provide scour protection, thus increasing permanent impacts to the Lower American River. The amendment also includes, but is not limited to, changes to the avoidance and minimization measures to limit vegetation and ground disturbing activities to periods of dry weather and low rainfall, increase the number of elderberry shrubs being transplanted from 13 to 70, clarifying language on locally appropriate native plant propagules, and allowing siltation curtains to remain in place, overnight, during dredging operations.
