Document Description
The project consists of a resolution authorizing the Director of the Department of
General Services (DGS) or designee to:
a) Execute, on behalf of the County, a Right of Way Contract - State Highway (Contract) and an Easement Deed (Easement) with the State of California (State), in a form substantially similar to the attachments;
b) Sign other ancillary documents as required, and to do and perform everything necessary to carry out the purpose of the Resolution. As part of the original Caltrans-led project, the State now proposes to acquire an Easement on a small portion of the
Property, with an area of approximately 17,202 square feet, adjacent to Business 80. The proposed Easement will allow the State to construct a new bike path connection on top of the existing levee, as currently there is no pedestrian access to it. The Easement is needed to provide maintenance and access to maintain the south levee bike structure and gravity wall access path. The Project will also construct a levee access ramp with a gravity wall to minimize impacts to the adjacent properties.
