Document Description
The project seeks to improve 6,515 square feet of existing laboratory space in the Institute for Regenerative Cures (IRC) building located on the UC Davis Sacramento Campus. Improvements to the existing space include new partitions, ceilings, flooring, laboratory fixtures and furniture. The scope of work also includes mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and data communications utilizing existing infrastructure.

This project will renovate an existing space with no expansion of current use. This project qualifies as categorically exempt under Exemption Class 1 of the Guidelines for the Implementation to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). This exemption applies to the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities or mechanical equipment, involving negligible or no expansion of the existing use. In addition, none of the exceptions for application of a categorical exemption apply to this project.
