Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (EPIMS-VEN-23453-R5), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, the project Applicant, California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The project is limited to widening state route 33 by
4.9 feet and recontouring the roadside, spring-fed channel to improve traffic safety. The road will be constructed to cantilever over the creek by approximately three feet due to limited space due to the terrain. Caltrans will compensate for permanent impacts by enhancing 0.02 acres of off-site riparian corridor within the Ventura River
Corridor. This work will be conducted by Ojai Valley Land Conservancy.
