- The California Department of Transportation proposes a pavement reconstruction project on two freeways in Kern County. The project would replace distressed Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) panels on Interstate 5 between postmiles 4.40 and R15.8, and on State Route 99 between postmiles 44.30 and 57.58. There will be no bridge or off-pavement work within the project limits. All work would remain within the existing right-of-way.
