Document Description
The project is a multi-benefit levee erosion control/habitat enhancement project and is limited to 3 sites; Site 1 between levee stations 321+00 and 292+00, Site 2 between levee stations 230+00 and 197+30, and Site 3 between levee stations 189+00 and 179+00. The work consists of revetment protection, development of wetland and riparian benches, and planting of the levee slope and wetland and riparian benches at Site 1. Revetment protection includes placement of rock slope protection (RSP) and 6-inch minus and soil backfill material using a derrick barge with a rock bucket, creating the foundation for wetland and riparian benches. Development of riparian benches includes transporting by truck and placement of the sand- and soil-filled Gripper/Terrabag System. Development of wetland benches includes placing a mix of soil and 6-inch minus rock. Work also consists of planting wetland and riparian benches and the levee slope at Sites 2 and 3.
