Document Description
The project consists of constructing and connecting emergency backup generators to PCWA1s power supply facilities which supply power to the American River Pump Station and Ophir Road Pump Station. The Intent of the project is to supply standby power to operate the pump stations in the event an extended power outage. Due to PG&E de-energizing electrical lines as part of Public Safety Power Shutoff to reduce wlldland fire hazards, It Is necessary to have this emergency backup power.

The American River Pump Station standby power site is located near 492 Maidu Drive In Auburn. The backup emergency generator will be located southeast of PCWNs recloser near the PG&E substation, which supplies power to PCWA's American River Pump Station. The Ophir Road Pump Station standby power site is located at 10715 Ophir Road. Both sites will be accessed via existing roadways.
