Reasons for Exemption
The area to be disturbed by the project is less than 7,000 square feet inside existing buildings and currently developed and paved areas immediately adjacent to these existing structures. The new filter unit/system is consistent with current zoning and current site uses, is strictly for reliability and redundancy reasons, and does not increase operating capacity, community water use, nor change raw water stream diversions. None of the exceptions listed in section 15300.2 of the CEQA Guidelines would apply to the proposed Project.
