Document Description
At the request of the private landowner, NID proposes to re-route the existing access road and construct a new segment from Kilaga Springs Road to the existing access road at the southeastern edge of the landowner's property boundary. The new segment will be a gravel road, with a locked gate at the end of the road where it conjoins the existing access road. Graders and backhoes will be used to construct the new segment. The access road will require two road crossings over an irrigation ditch and an intermittent stream. Culverts will be installed at these road crossing to maintain flow of the waterways. Approximately 0.02 acre of valley foothill riparian vegetation will be removed for the crossing of the road, and 11 native oak trees. The rest of the road will be constructed in non-native annual grassland.
