Notice of Exemption

Exempt Status
Statutory Exemption
Type, Section or Code
15061(b)(3)
Reasons for Exemption
The activity is covered by the common sense exemption that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. No environmental impact is expected because the proposed regulation only involves reporting detections at lower levels using existing analytical methods, and doesn’t change the level at which compliance is determined.
