Document Description
Install a replacement septic leach field system for existing state residences to allow occupancy in Portola Redwoods State Park. Work will: • Excavate a trench approximately 100' long, 2' wide, and 6' deep; • Fill trench with 5' of drain rock; • Install a 4" perforated drain pipe; • Top drain pipe with approximately 6" of drain rock and cover with filter fabric; • Backfill and compact trench; and • Install an inspection pipe for the drain field accessible by a 12" round Christy box.

Project consists of the operation and minor alteration of existing public facilities, involving negligible expansion of use beyond current levels, included as "utility repairs or minor repairs" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR § 15300.4; and minor alterations in the condition of land, and/or vegetation that will not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities, in accordance with CCR§ 15300.4
