Document Description
This project proposes to repair damage from heavy snow fall to the rockfall retention system on Interstate 80 in Placer county. There are two locations where this work will occur. At the west location, 72 poles will be repaired. The east location has 48 poles that need to be repaired. The original concrete foundation will remain, but all the base plate and poles will be replaced at both locations even if damaged has not been sustained. The double twisted wire mesh that hangs over the slope face will not be replaced. The work proposed by this project will be completely within the Caltrans right of way. No impacts to utilities are anticipated.
