Document Description
SWPAO #20025-A amends the Letter Agreement between KCWA and the Department of Water Resources of the State of California (DWR) executed on September 3, 2020 (SWPAO #20025). SWPAO #20025 approved the conveyance up to 1,695 acre-feet of 2020 Central Valley Project (CVP) Cross Valley Canal water (Non-Project Water) to KCWA. KCWA’s member unit, Wheeler Ridge- Maricopa Water Storage District (WRMWSD), acquired this CVP water from Pixley Irrigation District. The United States Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) would make the Non-Project Water available to DWR at O’Neill Forebay for DWR to deliver to KCWA. KCWA requested that this Non-Project Water be delivered to KCWA under Article 55 of its Water Supply Contract with DWR. On September 11, 2020, KCWA requested DWR’s approval to also take delivery of the Non- Project Water from Banks Pumping Plant. SWPAO #20025-A amends SWPAO #20025 by adding Banks Pumping Plant as a point where the Non-Project Water will be made available to DWR by Reclamation, in addition to O’Neill Forebay, for subsequent delivery to KCWA’s turnout(s).
