Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0016-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to City of Petaluma. The project is limited to the dredging of sediment from the Petaluma Marina and the Petaluma River Federal Navigation Channel and Turning Basin. Routine dredging episodes will occur over 5 years and will encompass the entire footprint of the Petaluma Marina and selected areas of the Federal Channel and Turning Basin as needed. It is estimated that up to 120,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from the 7.2-acre marina during the first dredging episode. This project includes up to five dredge episodes, for a maximum a total of 350,000 cubic yards of sediment to be removed.
