Document Description
The proposed improvements along Ralston Avenue in the City of Belmont, from Alameda De Las Pulgas to South Road, consist of bike and pedestrian improvements. Project-wide improvements consist of sidewalk rehabilitation where the existing sidewalk is in poor condition, and pavement maintenance prior to restriping and installation of new bikeways. If feasible, green infrastructure may be installed in the landscaped or new bulb-out areas.

Class 1 Section 15301(c): The proposed Project is associated with repair, maintenance, and minor alteration of existing street, sidewalks, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities and will be undertaken by the City of Belmont, a public agency, and will occur within the existing right of way (ROW). Class 4 Section 15304(h): The proposed Project includes new bike lanes and bike lane markings on existing Caltrans ROW; therefore, this activity is consistent with this exemption.
