The proposed project consists of abandoning two orphan wells in the Honey Lake Wildlife Area in Lassen County. The orphan wells have not been operated for over 20 years and their abandonment is required by CalGEM. Permits for the wells have been issued. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife concurs with the Department of Conservations assessment that this project is exempt under CEQA.
